Getting to Los Amigos from Chamartín Train Station:

At the train station get line in the direction of "Puerta del Sur". Take that line  9 stops and get off at "Príncipe Pío".

Follow the signs for the "Ramal Opera - Príncipe Pío" (indicated by a sign). That line will take you one stop to the "Opera" station, end of the line.

Come up to street level and...

- if you are coming to "OPERA", when you get to the top of the metro exit steps, turn 90 degrees to your left and spot the Burger King across the Plaza de Isabel II. Cross the plaza and head up "Calle Campomanes" which is the street that goes up the left hand side of the Burger King. "OPERA" is at #6 of "Calle Campomanes", on the right hand side of the street about half way up. The hostel is located on the 4th floor and there is an elevator for your convenience.

- if you are coming to "SOL", when you get to the top of the metro exit steps, simply walk straight and cross the first street that will be right in front of you. When you cross that street you will be on "Calle Arenal". Keep walking straight and "SOL" is at Calle Arenal #26. The hostel is located on the 4th floor and there is an elevator for your convenience.

If you are coming by Taxi:
While in a perfect world taxi drivers would all be honest and charge you the correct fair, Madrid is far from perfect with respect to this subject. A taxi from Chamartín train station to Los Amigos should not cost more than 12 Euros. Always ask for an official receipt before paying.
